Q1. What is the full name of IHGF Delhi Fair ?
Ans. It is called Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Delhi Fair. Earlier it was known as Indian Handicrafts and Gift Fair (IHGF) held twice in a year (Spring and Autumn editions ) 48 editions of the show have already been organized physically by EPCH. However, the 49th edition was held on virtual platform. The 52nd edition of the show will once again be held on physical platform from 28th October – 31st October, 2021.

Q2. Is it a Business 2 Business (B2B) fair or open to all?
Ans. It is a purely business oriented fair open only to business visitors. No Retail or Local order booking is made at this fair. By and large only foreign buyers visit this fair to source their requirement. However, Volume retail buyers representing domestic retail chain are also encouraged to visit the fair.p>

Q5. What are the key component of the platform?
Ans. The platform is made user-friendly with easy access to exhibition halls, lobby, Auditorium, Trend Pavilion, Resource Centre.

Q6. Is this a time bound event?
Ans. Yes, the fair timings are 11.00 am to 11.00 pm (Indian Standard Time), although trade fair platform is open 24 hrs during fair dates. One can register and visit the fair as per their time zone till 9th November, 2020.

Q7. Do I need to download or install anything to access this event?
Ans. No, you do not have to download or install anything to access this event. You only need an internet connection on your computer, ipad or mobile.

Q8. How can I register for this event?
Ans. Click on the Register tab on the fair website www.ihgfdelhifair.in and fill in the details and click on Submit. For any help, refer to the Visitor Guide. After successful registration, your login details will be sent on your registered email. Please do not share your username and password with anyone.

Ans. You have the option of resetting your password through “forget password” available at visitor’s login page.

Q11. Do I need to pay for registration?
Ans. No. The registration is free for all the Overseas Buyers, Buying Agents and Domestic Volume Buyers. Entry to this B2B fair is on the basis of Registration of business visitors and due verification from the organiser’s end.

Q12. How can I interact with the exhibitors?
Ans. In the exhibitor’s booth, multiple options are available like WhatsApp, video call, email, chat for interaction with the exhibitors.

Q13. Is there any pre appointment facility with exhibitors?
Ans. Yes, there is a new feature on the platform wherein the visitor can schedule his/her appointment with the exhibitor and can communicate directly through video call link on the exhibitor’s booth as per the scheduled meeting.

Q14. In case the overseas buyer speaks language other than English, can they communicate on fair platform?
Ans. Yes, the buyers and exhibitors can chat in chat box in select non-English language options and the Indian exhibitors will see the chat in English or Hindi. This is a convenient option and will facilitate your business meeting.

Q15. Where can we get a list of the exhibitors before we arrive?
Ans. List of exhibitors is provided to pre-registered visitors. It will be uploaded on the website: www.ihgfdelhifair.in a few days prior to the fair.

Q16. How to get basic information about rules and regulations about import from India?
Ans. The rules for import from India/export from India are simple. The Indian exporter has to book an order with the overseas buyer. In other words the overseas buyer has to finalise orders with the exporters from India for import into his country. The Indian exporter will complete all procedural formalities with respect to documentation, taxes, duties etc.

Q17. In case of a dispute between an exhibitor and a buyer, where can one lodge a complaint?
Ans. A written complaint can be made to renu.gupta@epch.com or a phone call may be made to 0091-11-26135256 Extension 106. However, it may please be noted that Council is not a legal or arbitration body. The Council will make necessary efforts to resolve the trade dispute and provide amicable solution to the affected party.
